EAST, WEST, HAMES BEST
Carolyn Scott's installation, ‘East West Hame's Best', focuses on a short film made
with video artist Andy Sim documenting a group of women from different
backgrounds and cultures (including the Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal and Bulgaria), all of whom are married to Scots and live in Fife. The film explores how learning alongside each other on a course ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages' set up by the government in 2007, led the women to form an extremely strong friendship group, built around the common purpose of getting to grips with life in Fife.
